Mostly family images here as well as a couple of friends. Notable faces are historian Manning Clark who sat for Joan at Michelago. Also atomic physicist Charles Adams who she painted out at the farm in the early 80's for her entry in the Archibald. The framed portrait of a farmer wearing a hat won Joan a scholarship when she was just 21. Very interestingly, recently found painting she did when only 16 of her teacher Grace Cossington Smith knitting.
